What does it do?

Allows the app to use the GPS hardware to determine your precise location (within a few meters).

Why is it dangerous?

1. Physical Stalking: Reveals exactly where you live, work, and sleep.
2. Behavioral Profiling: Advertisers build a profile of your life based on where you visit (e.g., regular visits to a hospital).

Legitimate Uses

• Maps & Navigation (Google Maps, Waze).
• Taxi / Delivery apps (Uber).
• Weather apps (though COARSE_LOCATION is usually enough).

Verdict

Only grant to apps that help you navigate the real world. A flashlight or wallpaper app DOES NOT need this.
